Gilbert and about 15 others quit the group in January to form the Texas Border Rescue, a “humanitarian-focused” search and rescue outfit composed primarily of former TBV members. He even got Eddie Canales , a Prius-driving liberal from Corpus Christi who’s made it his life mission to render aid to the migrants passing through Brooks County, to endorse the group.
